Brambletye School Wedding Photography
Back at the start of April I had the pleasure of photographing Mandy and Mark’s wedding. The day started in Horsham at St Mark’s Church where I met with the Groom and the Groomsman. After a swift drink in the pub opposite we headed over to the Church to great the guests and position button holes etc.
This was my first visit to this particular Church and I must admit after having some interesting experiences with some vicars in the past you are always anxious to hear there restrictions. However my fears were unfolded as it was made clear that I had freedom to do what was required. I reckon I could have swung from the ceiling lights if needed but best not push my luck.
With the Groom having a strong connection to the Church it was going to be a full ceremony and with a live music band it was certainly going to be a lively affair. With Flower-girls dancing in the aisles and a full congregation belting out the hymns it certainly created a great atmosphere.
After the ceremony afternoon tea was served at the Church and everybody could relax and enjoy the warm spring weather. After the cake had been cut we headed to Brambletye School in Forest Row for the main reception. It would appear that a certain Benedict Cumberbatch was a pupil hear not that long ago. The beautiful main building was perfect for the couple images and for the Wedding Breakfast. large windows allowing natural light to flood into the drinks reception was perfect for capturing those spontaneous off the cuff moments.
As we moved into the evening the guests were treated to a Ceilidh Band, it is always great fun watching the guests trying to coordinate themselves with the moves to this traditional Scottish Dancing.
Below is a small selection of images taken on the day.
