Well it has been a while since I have updated the blog. This has turned out to be a rather busy year and as we head into August things start to get a little crazy. I wanted to take this opportunity to head back to a wedding from 2017. I had the pleasure of photographing the Wedding of Kate & Andy at Anne of Cleves House in Lewes. This is a beautiful 15th Century building and was once home to Anne, the fourth wife of Henry VIII. The ceremony was conducted in the main hall next to the most stunning Tudor fireplace and we then headed outside into the grounds for the drinks reception. It was not long before it was time to head back to Kate’s parents house for the main reception.
On the car journey back to Haywards Heath it soon became apparent that the weather was going to play a factor in the forthcoming events. Not long before the reception had started then we were greeted with the most torrential downpour. The Marquees and tarpaulin set up round the gardens were straining under the weight of the water but luckily the sun was to come out and soon started to dry everything and everyone out.
The whole reception was a fun relaxed affair with a taco and pizza van along with a hog roast being the culinary delights for the evening. The cutting of the cake turned out to be the smashing of a piñata, this was a first for me and with sweets flung to all parts of the patio the children were certainly happy.
As we entered into the evening celebrations it was time for me to leave. Enjoy some of the images from the day below.
