Alexander House is a beautiful Hotel situated between East Grinstead and Turners Hill. This was the setting for Emily’s & Alistair’s big day. I was recommend to Emily through one of her friends who’s wedding I had the pleasure of photographing several years back.
One thing to know about both both is that they are horse crazy. For their engagement session there was only one possible location for this, yes the stables. It was a great location for an engagement session and we able to include their horses as well which was fun. Moving onto the wedding day there was lots of hustle and bustle during the morning preparation and for Alistair a lovely gift was waiting for him, a lovely watch with a note telling him not to be late. I got the impression time keeping was not Alistair’s strong point.
After the ceremony we headed outside on what was a rather chilly day and after some quick group images many of the guests had decided to head backside for the warmth of the hotel. Emily & Alistair were happy to go off for twenty minutes and capture some image son them both using the beautiful grounds of the hotel. We even managed to come back outside when it was dark so we could use the lantern outside of the main reception.
For the wedding breakfast the room had been decorated in beautiful flowers of some description. One thing I am not is a gardener and I have no clue what they were but they looked amazing and really added to the intimate feel of the day.
Congratulations to you both, please enjoy a small selection of images from the day below.
