On Sunday 10th May we headed up to the High Street for the VE Day celebrations. It was great to see that so many people had come out to enjoy the event and most importantly remember the sacrifice so many made for todays freedom.

My generation is one of the last that will hear first hand about the war from Grandparents etc. It is so important that we pass their stories down to future generations and never forget what they did for us, and how learning from our past will help avoid such events in our future.
