About Simon Stewart Photography

One question I regularly get asked is how did I become a Wedding Photographer. This is not an easy questions to answer. I could give you the old story of how my Grandfather gave me a Box Brownie when I was two and was operating a fully functioning darkroom by the age of three. For me, my route to being a Wedding Photographer is slightly different.

Throughout my early twenties my interest in photography grew rapidly and after gaining several photographic qualifications and spending time shadowing well respected Wedding Photographers I decided that this was where I wanted to focus my photographic efforts.

Since 2007 I have photographed several hundred weddings developing a style which has been described as creative, fun, unobtrusive and relaxed. I love blending into the background, capturing those spontaneous moments as your day unfolds.

In 2015 my wife and I welcomed Emily into the family and this was followed by the whirlwind that is Sam who completed our family unit in 2020.
