A Romantic February Wedding at Highley Manor
February weddings have a unique charm to them. Looking forward to the year ahead and the early signs of spring starting to come through this beautiful celebration at Highley Manor was full of warmth, laughter and romantic winter atmosphere. Nestled in the Sussex countryside, the historic manor provided the perfect setting for a cosy late-winter wedding day.
The ceremony took place outside in the Baronial Hall where soft winter light filtered through as friends and family gathered to watch the couple exchange their vows.
After the ceremony everyone headed outside for confetti and with a chilly breeze blowing across the grounds it was quickly back inside for drinks and canapés while the couple slipped away for a few quiet moments together around the grounds.
Even in February the gardens and surrounding countryside offer lovely backdrops and the soft winter light created a beautiful timeless feel for their portraits.
Back inside the manor the celebrations continued with speeches, plenty of laughter and a lively evening reception. Winter weddings at Highley Manor always have a wonderfully cosy feel and as the evening went on the dance floor quickly filled with guests ready to celebrate.
There’s something wonderfully romantic about a winter wedding. The softer daylight, intimate atmosphere and warm indoor spaces create a very different feel from summer celebrations, but one that many couples love.
Late winter weddings in can feel wonderfully relaxed allowing couples to enjoy every moment of the day surrounded by the people who matter most.
As the evening celebrations continued, the dance floor quickly became the heart of the party. It was the perfect end to a beautiful winter wedding day – full of genuine smiles, happy moments and plenty of laughter shared between family and friends.
