A Beautiful Summer Wedding at The Ravenswood
There are some wedding days that feel effortlessly joyful from the very first moment and Marcia & Steve’s summer wedding at The Ravenswood was exactly that. Bathed in sunshine their day was a perfect blend of elegance and laughter. With it being one of the hottest days of the year, guests were spilling out onto the lawns, sunglasses on and drinks in hand, soaking up the atmosphere before the ceremony.
When Marcia arrived for the ceremony Steve’s reaction said it all, a quiet, emotional moment that instantly set the tone for the day. Their ceremony was personal, genuine, and full of warmth, with plenty of smiles and a few happy tears along the way.
Summer vibes, natural moments
After the ceremony, everyone made the most of the weather, enjoying drinks and conversations outside while I captured relaxed, candid moments across the Ravenswood grounds. We then headed for some shade which provided by the little castle for the Family photos.
We slipped away briefly for couple portraits, taking advantage of the shade in the woodland behind the boathouse.
An evening full of laughter
The celebrations moved inside for the wedding breakfast and the speeches, which were equal parts heartfelt and hilarious. Stories were shared, glasses were raised and the room was filled with laughter.
As evening guest arrived everybody was enjoying the warm summer evening and when it was time the evening flowed effortlessly into the cake cutting and dancing. With the DJ keeping the dance floor busy the party atmosphere was the perfect way to head into the late evening.
I hope you enjoyed looking through this snapshot of the day and if you are looking for a photographer who captures natural, storytelling images, I’d love to hear from you.
